"If you can’t change the world with chocolate chip cookies, how can you change the world?"

About me

Kalamazoo Cookie Company started in my home kitchen because I got stuck on the idea that a cookie could feel a little more intentional than something off a shelf. I spent a lot of time messing with ingredients and texture and bringing batches to friends just to hear what they actually thought. At some point people started asking when the next bake day was instead of if I was baking again. I still mix, scoop, and bake every batch myself, and if it’s not something I’m excited to eat, it doesn’t go on the menu.

As the bakery moves into a real storefront, the approach stays basically the same. Everything is small batch and baked to order, and a lot of what I do is shaped by the Kalamazoo community that kept encouraging this in the first place. Flavors rotate, experiments happen, and a few surprises end up sticking around longer than planned. I just want opening a box to feel like you got something made on purpose, and if you come back again that probably means I did my job.
